To Yvonne,

In your memory.

Who you are to me:

A true inspiration to so many people,
Votary of the Lotus Sutra,
An outstanding young woman who tanscended the misery of cancer and unleashed true empowerment.

Teacher, friend, mad Austin Powers fan, Life Achievement Award Winner, gifted actress, Bodhisattva, profound example of an earth-dwelling angel.

Yvonne, you have completely turned my attitude towards cancer on it's head. I have lost so many people to cancer, and thoughts of cancer & my own demise were consuming so many of my waking moments, but you have taught me the greatest lesson in terms of this disease - I cannot put into words how great the gift is that you have given me. But I will say that I'm not scared or angry anymore, and this is all thanks to you.

Yvonne, thank you for letting me into your life, however brief it may have been. You are already an Oscar winner in our hearts.

Until we meet again x

I shared the URL of this site with other bereaved parents.
Here's my little message for Yvonne & family:
http://myhealingpath.net

I can’t find the word to describe this beautifuly, lively Yvonne. Please surf to the memorial site her family as set up for her to glimpse at what living is. It is about living, not dying. Be sure to check out the song sung by her. I hope all will be inspired by the strength her family has shown despite the obstacles they face. Yvonne, I may not know you but I suppose it is not coincidence that I bumped into a total stranger that is your Uncle in a bookstore.

Dear Yvonne, Knowing you and how your family accepted your death will give me more courage to continue my mission of providing the avenue for bereaved parents to find support. Yeah, baby! (ala Austin Power!)

Yvonne,
You had the most courageous mother I ever meet,
that really shows the fact the true word of Nichiren Daishonin-We choose our own parent. You had choose the must courageous mother and I’m sure you will again meet a courageous mother
in your next life.

I didn't know you very well but remember the few French words
we exchanged together when we meet ,like this simple one "Bonjour comment ca-vas"

Would like to say ‘Thank You Yvonne’, during your challenge on your sickness, every Saturday 1pm we organize chanting section for two hours for your VICTOR, Your Victories Yvonne, had also become my victories, so are all the Waihikian Members Victories.

"Au revoir Yvonne tu resteras toujours dans mon coeur, je ne te dis pas adieu
car je sais que je te reverrais ,tu es une merveilleuse jeune Femme.
Je suis tres heureux de t'avoir rencontre."

Thanks you Jessica for always sharing you heart ,your heart is as vast as the universe .

Merci beaucoup.

Sunday 17 Sept 2006 is the 100th day Yvonne left us. According to Shakyamuni, the 100th day is a significant day. Of course, in Nichiren Daishonin's Buddhism, every day is important, every day is a significant day.

But as mum, I hope to take this 100th day to remind us of Yvonne's strong spirit again. I will be chanting vigorously for her. I rang Mr. Sasaki today and asked him for guidance on the attitude to chant for Yvonne. He said, "Chant for Yvonne's good health, longevity, happiness and that she will fulfill her dreams/goals in her next life.

I hope you will join me in chanting this way for her on this Sunday at your own home.

Kindest regards
Jessica Phuang

Thanks to this solidarity!
I guess many who visited this site may have not met Yvonne before (i am one of them) but one can surely feel Yvonne's existence having shone and will continue to shine in the same Kosen Rufu stage. It's so much important now for us to come to understand that each life borned, carries a wonderful, unique and personal mission! Yvonne's life is just like one of this beautiful scene just like Ikeda Sensei's quote: "The sight of a young person striving to reach the goal he has set for himself is one of the most powerful, most refreshing, most beautiful things in the world. Nowhere in the world is there a beauty to match that of a young person who has fought with and overcome hardship."

With love,
Yeng Cheng

Yvonne was a true friend. Always there, always honest. A strong young woman who inspired me greatly. I miss her, life just isn't the same without her. I consider myself incredibly lucky to have had her in my life. I wish I could have said goodbye.

Apparently, the family is important in any manner but sometimes you cannot adjust with your spouse in that case you need to contact an family lawyer Singapore for your case. It is a stiff task.
